Omkareshwar Main Canal Phase-III

The Omkareshwar Irrigation Project needed extension of its main canal from km 85 to km 162.95 through varied terrain in Madhya Pradesh. The Phase-III work required large-scale earthwork, concrete canal lining, and construction of complex cross-drainage structures across seasonal rivers and streams to maintain the canal's hydraulic gradient over nearly 78 km.

VRSIPL executed the full scope of main canal construction including earthwork, concrete canal lining for seepage prevention, cross-drainage works (aqueducts, siphons, and culverts), falls and regulators for flow control, canal bridges at road crossings, and distributary and minor canal off-takes. The 52-month execution delivered additional irrigation coverage to the Narmada command area.
